27 April, 2026 by Barry Mason

Oander is delighted to announce the commencement of works on the redevelopment of Holy Trinity Church, Redhill, a significant project that will deliver a new church centre for the local community in Redhill.

Oander’s Role in the Project

Oander has been appointed as Quantity Surveyor for the scheme, providing cost management and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle. We are working alongside MEB Design Limited, who are acting as Employer’s Agent, while being directly appointed by The PCC of Holy Trinity Church, Redhill.

This appointment reflects our continued commitment to supporting community-focused developments and delivering robust financial and contractual oversight from inception through to completion.

Project Overview

The project represents a major step forward for the church and its community facilities. The works include:

  • Demolition of the existing church hall and administration building
  • Construction of a new, modern church centre designed to better support worship, community activities, and outreach initiatives
  • Delivery of improved, flexible spaces that will serve the needs of the parish and wider community for many years to come

With a contract sum of £2.68 million, the redevelopment is a significant investment in the future of Holy Trinity Church and its role within the local area.

Construction Programme

Hystar Construction Limited has been appointed as the main contractor for the works. Construction commenced on 16 February 2026, with completion scheduled for 23 July 2027.

As Quantity Surveyor, Oander was responsible for the cost planning and is currently running the procurement support, and ongoing commercial management to help ensure the project is delivered efficiently and represents strong value for money.

Progress To Date (April 2026)

  • All demolition complete with all materials removed from site. Some soil piled up to west side of site for potential future re-use.
  • Mass concrete footings have been poured and are complete. Setting out engineer has set out the building and marked on site positions of masonry skins.
  • Below ground drainage runs within the main site enclosure are being dug out.
  • Blockwork for substructure walls has been delivered to site with bricklayers starting on site to commence blockwork walls.
  • Site flat areas being rolled to create stable surface around perimeter of building for access.

Supporting Community Investment

This redevelopment will provide a modern, fit-for-purpose facility that enhances the church’s ability to serve its congregation and the wider community. The new centre will enable expanded programmes, improved accessibility, and more versatile spaces for events, services, and community engagement.

We are proud to be contributing to a project that combines heritage, community value, and future-focused design. Oander looks forward to supporting the successful delivery of the scheme and sharing further updates as the works progress.
