13 March, 2020 by Ben Davies

Following the recent completion of 88 Neville Cottage, Oander are pleased to announce our next appointment on behalf of Borde Hill Estate as Project Managers overseeing the refurbishment of Grade II listed property South Lodge.

Located in the South East corner of the estate grounds, the property retains many of its existing features, which include; the window casements set in stone mullions, original fire places, a Horsham Slate stone roof and fishtail clay tile hanging.

The refurbishment of grade II listed property can be a very complex affair with certain rules and regulations playing a part in both the planning as well as the delivery of the works. Oander have a rich history with such works and as such are able to draw on past experience to successfuly deliver the works.

Ta assist with the refurbishment of grade II listed property South Lodge, Oander are supported by Pritchard Architects, specialists in refurbishment of properties with listed / heritage status. During the early stages of the project we have also been working closely with the conservation officer at Mid Sussex District Council and expect to submit the application for Listed Building consent in the near future.

Once the consent process is finalised Oander’s commission will extend to cover the management of the tender process to deliver the works and construction through to handover / close out.
